World Cat Day!

August 8th is the day the cats take over the world. 

World cat day according to my cats….

• This is the day we are acknowledged as being the best pet ever. Better then birds, ferrets, hamsters and of course…dogs!
• This is the day we prefer to be left alone. No crazy human hugs and kisses. no tail pulling or long un-wanted belly rubs. Exceptions can be made for certain favors. Cat treats are one.
• This is the day there should be no tuna cans left on the grocery shelf. ALL cats should have tuna. It promotes Inner Purring.
• This is the day humans need to let us sleep without waking us up. No creepy staring at us while we nap, no lap naps or sneaking cuddles. I will sleep where I lay…alone.
• No, there will be no “World Human Day.” Stop trying to steal our glory. We will not honor something so stupid.

• This is the day us cats tell you what to do. (This is every day but you refuse to acknowledge it.)
• This is the day us cat can take over without “dog” people giving us crap. Boo, the cutest dog is the only exception. (Again, we don’t understand what the problem is)
• This is the day the human needs to take time out to play with us for hours. Lazer pointers, toy feathers and tossing balls are great fun.
• Catnip. Get it and give it to us. No exceptions.
• This is the day that all humans worship the cat. This has not changed in 9,000 years. I don’t know why we are having this conversation. Again.
• This is the day we can toss your Zen out the window.  Yea, that’s right.  Ha!

Even Mr. Bailey the Zen cat gets it.

The cats may “think” this is all about their dominance over us humans, tuna,  and dogs, but we at Cat Box Zen acknowledge that World cat day is celebrated throughout the world on August 08. It was founded in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and other animal rights groups.
