My human took a vacation without us.
How rude.
We spend all our time with her, but she leaves us behind with a “cat-sitter.”
How come she gets a vacation from us, be we never get one from her?
We love her but she is not all sunshine and catnip to live with you know.
I want to pack my stuffed mouse and go on vacation.
Leave the cat sitter to watch the plants so I can travel to find a mouse museum.
Maybe I will pad on over to New York. I heard they have a lot of mice. And rats too?
Um, wait. I think those rats are bigger then me.
Never mind.
I would be happy going on vacation outside.
Meet some of those primitive cats up front.
I can go all vacation like “cats gone wild” as I give them a piece of my mind for dropping their un-fashionable pieces in my yard.
In the meantime, I will go bother the cat sitter.
She does have a warm lap.
I should take advantage of it while it’s available.
This must be the impermanence lesson Mr. Bailey talks about.
Lap here now, lap gone tomorrow ( see, I listen)
When my human gets back, I will leave extra surprises in the cat box for her.
Then I will ignore her for a day or so.
Just because.
It’s cat love you know.

Yup, she gave me the sad eyes. I have strict rules ( from Miss Mattie) that I must either bring them on vacation or give them a vacation with a lot of tuna and treats.
She is really good at negotiations. 🙂
Oh kitty! This so sad that your owner took a vacation without you. This is not fair. How they can do this to a lovely kitty. If I were in their place I surely took you with us.
