Litter Box Wisdom

The litter dust settles on my furr. Not happy.

I also have a stuffed up cat nose, plus my whiskers have a dirty look to them.

I still don’t feel sparkly clean.

 Last week my human brought this terrible litter that made me sneeze.

It was so full of dust that I think I turned grey once or twice.

Not good for a pretty girl like me.

Besides that, this dust makes me feel small.

Like I am in a world all my own. A foggy place where I don’t know what is around me. I don’t like that.
I guess that is why humans say to “wait until the dust settles.”

Well, I am waiting and counting my cat toes. I can now see it settle on the floor.

Great, I get to walk out of this area making track marks in the proverbial snow.

Need to talk to my human about better litter. I think I need to show her.

Going to roll my dust bunny butt on her nice bed quilt. That’s right. I am better at showing then talking.

OK, so a few days have past and we have much better litter. She brought Tidy Cat.

No dust, No fuzziness, and of course my fur is back to being beautiful. Plus the cat box sparkles with glistening blue crystals.

All cat good.

I suppose if Mr. Bailey had his way, he would impart some Zen Wisdom here.

Or maybe “here.”

Alright, I guess this is my Zen training lesson and I need to make a statement.

When I was raking in my box creating all that dust, it should be called the “foggy place of misunderstanding.” You rake and rake making more dust. Feeling as though your cat actions are getting nowhere. It is the place of severe crazy cat mind because you are waiting to be able to get that fog out of your head to see the “light” in sight. It consumes your thoughts.

Now that my head it clear and I have had a bath. All is good.  

Mr. Bailey’s wise cat wisdom

Miss Mattie, all the raking you do does get you somewhere. It is necessary even if you don’t like it.

The fog or litter dust doesn’t make the foggy head. I have seen you sit in a fog free litter box, raking away and still have an unclear cat head.

Raking can be an act of mindfulness. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.

Maybe you should use the fog to your advantage.

No one can see you in the litter box -that is good. You said you wanted privacy, now you got it.

By the way, the good think about dust, is eventually it settles down. Can you?
