To truly laugh, you must be able to take your pain, and play with it!

Miss Mattie says….
I did something silly the other day. Well, it was actually more embarrassing then silly.
I tried to hop in my box with cat paw grace but instead I ended up doing a belly flop in the box.
Yes, it is true, cat’s don’t always land on their paws.
I am so grateful that my human cleaned the box so it was fairly clean. I am lucky that I missed the tiny pile in the corner from Mr. Bailey. Can you imagine falling in his poop. Imaging if I had poop on my delicate ears. That thought makes me shutter with dread. I know what he eats!
I did get cat litter on my belly, nose and ears but I didn’t hurt anything.
Actually the cat litter covered up my embarrassment rather nicely. I should have just yawned, closed my eyes and pretended to take a nap, but instead, my cat mind when into overdrive. I quickly jumped up with the look of horror on my face. You know, that ear back, wide eyed look as you scurry upright looking back at the culprit.
The box did it.
I looked around thinking… “whoa…was anyone looking?”
Of course.
My human was very supportive in her belly laugh. Nice to know I have ‘funny’ people living with me.
If you ever notice, the “I just did something silly” look bears similar remembrance in human and in cat?
Did you also notice that it seems to be the normal look for dogs. Not hating on dogs just making a point that when they do something silly, their expression doesn’t change. You know it’s true.
Anyway, now that a day has passed, I need to let this go or learn to laugh at oneself.
I know there is a moral to this story, so I suppose I should find it before my embarrassment keeps me belly down in the litter.
Mr. Bailey’s wise cat wisdom
I know that you don’t want to be judged by others when you do something you didn’t want to do. It can make you feel out of control and that is uncomfortable.
Being able to find things in your life that are funny show that you are a unique cat who can admit her flaws. This in turn can increase your cat Sass and self-esteem.
Don’t resist when something is silly, and we have to admit anything with poop in it is hysterical.
Especially if it is on you!
Surrender to the power of the laughing roar. Yes, Roar!
If you don’t laugh, it will create bound up energy and resistance. I suppose that’s why people with no sense of humor look all uptight.
Change your outlook from a negative situation to positive one and you will feel it. It will create a feeling of speciousness when you allow yourself forgiveness for doing something silly.
“Laughing is life’s gentle way of telling you it is alright”
Miss Mattie says…
Mr. Bailey gives great insight but he didn’t seem ‘spaciousness’ or ‘roar’ in laughter when he tried to catch a bird though a closed window. Yea, that’s right. He was rather cranky. I think my Zen Master needs to walk the talk, or is that meow the walk. Who knows.
Got read about it, I send you the link.
