Happy Earth Day Everyone!
Be kind to the Earth, there are over 7 billion people upon it…and counting
Be kind to the cats…they are just as precious with over 600 million padding around…and counting.
If we lost all the cats in the world, we would have less grain, more disease from rodents and the emotional impact upon the humans would be horrific. (See article on live science)
We need our cats…and we need our earth.
The earth sustains us…she protects us. The earth is called Mother, Gaia or the blue planet. She is the embodiment of all; water, rocks, mountains, trees, animals, cats, the beautiful ocean, the soil below our feet, the fire that destroys yet recreates and the air we breathe.
We need to walk with presence upon the earth; we need to tread lightly upon our beautiful earth.
We need to keep her in our hearts as she does for us.
She has been beaten, destroyed, ripped apart, sold, and killed over. And that is just from today! We have wasted her precious resources and continue to do so daily. Why have we become so oblivious to the gifts she has given us?
Even with all the destruction we do, she still loves us. We are the children who do not know any better and we never seem to learn. Who have still yet to understand that we are as much a part of her as she is to us.
We CAN’T be separated, nor should we ever want to.
Through her umbilical cord of life, she sustains her infant children like a loving mother does.
She is all we have and we need to honor her daily. Mother Earth has forgiven us, and it’s time that our species collectively grows up and returns the respect.
We need to walk with presence upon the earth; we need to tread lightly upon our beautiful earth.
If you can’t love anyone or yourself, at least love your mother earth. We are born from her and will eventually return to her. She holds all the foot prints of our ancestors and the memories we have in our heart. We are connected to her by our DNA, she IS our tree of life.
She is the Zen master of the present moment. She doesn’t worry about tomorrow or pull the string of the past in to the future. She continues on spinning one precious moment at a time.
Her system is perfect as it. Nature is perfect as it is. It is the embodiment of impermanence; of change and adaptability.
It is time…
We need to walk upon our earth with presence; each one of us taking small steps mindfully to embrace our mother as she truly is.
Find ways of living in balance. Find ways of becoming more open and in tune to her seasons, her subtle energy and and to the yin/yang that is so present.
Walk with presence upon this earth. Do so gently with love in your heart and the intent of only leaving your foot prints behind.
Peace, Hugs and Purrs…
